"A tattoo is not just a sign on the skin: it’s something that speaks about us, something that speaks for us. Sometimes tattoos tell our history and our origin, showing our deepest roots and inner longings..."
September is Tattoo month at the District Library and if you’ve made your body your canvas or you're just an interested bystander there are plenty of ways for you to join in.

Your Ink, Your Story.
Send us a photo of your tattoo, with a brief story as to what inspired you to get it done.It will then go on anonymous display & into the draw for tattoo inspired prizes.

Displays of entries will be at Davis Central City Library & the Gonville Café Library during the month of September

You can enter more than once, just make sure it’s a different tattoo and that they are your own – email them to us at kelly@wanganuilibrary.com

Live Demos - telling the story up-close
The library will play host to TWO live & free demonstrations of tattooing. This is a rare opportunity to see a local tattoo artist at work.
