“With its beautifully illustrative animation, reminiscent of a children's book, and its bittersweet, reassuring story, this is a film kids will take to heart... and one parents can feel comfortable about letting them do so.” – MaryAnn Johanson, FlickFilosopher
Year 6 student Hiromi is going through a rough patch. Her parents are getting a divorce and her tutor – the one she has a crush on – is getting married. She relies on her Miniature Schnauzer, Junkers, to comfort her. Incidentally, Junkers can not only talk, but has the ability to grant 3 wishes…
This low-key, bittersweet film uses the simple story of a girl and her dog to tap into a well of emotion that will deeply affect you if you let yourself be carried along by its delicate rhythms.
