Monday 26th April 1915

W.W.C. Coy, Hawkes Bay & Machine Gun Section disembarked & joined the Bn. in the gully about 4.30 a.m. on the morning of the 26th. The day was spent quietly by the troops. Officers wherever possible carried out a reconnaissance of the position held by the Division. W.W.C. were ordered to take up a position on Plugges plateau about 6 p.m. but about midnight were ordered to return to the Gully.
