Monday 30th April 1917

Company left billets at KORTEPYP at 2.30 am. Platoons are stationed – No.2 at GALWAY DUG-OUTS, Nos 1 and 3 in DESTROYED MILL, and No.4 at SOUTHLAND FARM. We are in support to Taranaki.

Great deal of artillery work and much more trench mortar activity than usual.

Relief had just been reported complete when a very violent bombardment opened on the right. It appears that Fritz put over a raid on the 3rd Australian Dvl. front.
