We sailed from Alexandria for Marseilles. We had an uneventful trip across, although only the Ships Officers knew that a Submarine was within 6 miles of us at one stage of our voyage. We arrived at Marseilles on Saturday[sic] evening 15th April.

Lt Treadwell & 1 man to Battn. H.Qrs. 14 men to 2nd N.Z.T.B. 2 men posted to Coy. also Lt Turnbull attached. 2 men to Hosp. leaving strength at 5 Officers 166 O.Rs.

The N.Z. Division was inspected by Gen. Sir. Arch. Murray & The Prince of Wales. Lt Gilbert & 10/3724 Pte Rockhill were transferred to 2nd Training Battn. 10/3793 Pte Wooding F.C. transferred to N.Z.F. Ambulance.
