At 8.15 p.m. the Company left the Apex as part of B Party (evacuation party) and after forming up at the Brigade Dump left for the beach at 8.50 p.m.
The party left No 2 Outpost at 9.30 p.m. and reached William’s Pier at 10 p.m.
It embarked on lighters and went aboard transports Carron and Redbreast [...]
