Inspection of Battalion by C.O. Hun aeroplane over our lines.
Routine. Very wet & cold. Snow fell.
Routine. Further fatigues.
Church Parades. Company for Duty. Fatigues. Enemy’s ”heavies” again very active this morning. Lieut B.L. Morison & Sergt Harris left for England to join 4th N.Z. Brigade now being mobilised.
Bath at Pont De Nieppe. Enemy’s heavy artillery again active, evidently searching for our howitzers in our vicinity. Capt H.E. McKinnon proceeded to Lewis Gun school at Paris Plage.
Inter-Platoon Football Matches. No-1 beat No-3. No-2 & 4 had to abandon game owing to heavy wind & snow.
Routine work. Supplied 125 for work in connection with ammunition dump which is to be built. Enemy’s heavy artillery active.
Company for Duty. Very wet & cold. Snow fell during night.
Blowing a gale, with rain & sleet. Very unpleasant.
