At 9 am. the Coy was relieved by the 17th Ruahine Coy and moved to Rest Gully for 24 hours.
10/1400 Lt Hardie. R.D. sent to Sick Hospital.

At 9 am. the Coy takes over sub-posts 4.5.6. at Quinn’s post from 17th Ruahine Coy.
The day passed quietly. At 11 pm the Turks landed a bomb in No 5 Post wounding 3 men, the rest of the night passed without incident.

The day passed quietly until 9.30 pm. when a heavy thunder-storm came up. The night was intensely dark and lit at times by dazzling lightning flashes. The Turks evidently fearing an attack poured in a terrific rifle and machine-gun fire [...]

The Coy were relieved at 9 am by 17th Ruahine Coy and moved to Rest Gully, at about 9.30 pm. heavy fire broke out all along the line. Enemy bombarded Walker’s Ridge with heavy artillery and made a determined attack on that section of the defence, but were repulsed with heavy loss.
