Today commenced the 3rd phase of the 3rd battle of YPRES.
In conjunction with other units (Australian & English) operating on our flanks the N.Z. DIV. attacked the heights in front of the ridge known as the PASSCHENDAELE – GHELUVELT RIDGE.

A Hun shell exploded a small dump of M.T.M. bombs near Ration Farm, a couple of hundred yards away from Coy. H.Q. between 10 and 11 this morning.
Company manned new trench with H.B. tonight. An occasional Hun shell was replied to with salvoes from our guns.
